ON-Q Queensland launch its Valued Employers/Supportive Partners Program with a business breakfast October 6th 2009.

Peter Doyle, Alec Morgan - General Manager QLD, Andrew Csabi &
Terri Cause - Operational Manager QLD
Held at the Gold Coast Arts Centre, some 60 people enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast, stunning views and inspirational guest speakers.
In welcoming attendees, Alec Morgan, General Manager, ON-Q Human Resources, Queensland, extended thanks to those existing Valued Employers and went on to explain the Valued Employers and Supportive Partnership programs and the benefits of partnerships in the workplace.
Alec gave insight into the extent of the services that ON-Q Human Resources undertakes on the Gold Coast and how its expertise might be tapped within business partnerships, both with employment of people with a disability and with the broader goal of resource and expertise sharing.
Andrew Csabi, Managing Director of Paradise Security, who himself sustained amputations as a result of injuries incurred in the Bali Bombings in 2002, gave account of his experience and of his recovery, inspiring the group with his story of tenacity and resilience. He now is involved with children amputees on the eastern seaboard, mentoring the children and offering support to their families.
Attendees enjoyed a value-added presentation from Peter Doyle, Director, Client Service, Guidelight People Performance Solution, who addressed Character-based Leadership. Peter generously offered complimentary attendance at his Guidelight forum to four lucky employers.
Employers were appreciative of the opportunity to meet with the ON-Q Program Managers. ECs from Southport successfully engaged Andrew Csabi to assist with the mentoring of some younger clients, as they work towards a placement outcome.
Job offers were forthcoming.
