ON-Q’s Start Smart team are delighted to announce a new and innovative project for apprentice chefs.  The Sun and Snow project helps apprentice chefs broaden their workplace experience while offering extra benefits to the snowboard and surfing set.

Apprentice chefs will be working in the NSW snow field resorts through the winter season and then get to thaw out in the sun, surf and sand of the Northern Rivers Region without interrupting their apprenticeship.

Special off the job ‘between season’ training arrangements have been organised.  Training will be in 2 x 3 block releases outside of peak holiday seasons in May and October during which apprentices will receive full pay.

ON-Q’s Sun and Snow Project is receiving support from the NSW Government and Australian Governments for its innovative approach to skilling young Australians and meeting employer’s needs. 

ON-Q is seeking applications from end of 1st yr to 3rd yr Apprentice Chefs.  Successful applicants will have financial subsidies available for accommodation.
