During the 2012 London Paralympics it became a nightly event for the Morgan family to gather on the couch for television highlights.  Great coverage and crowds made for a palpable electric atmosphere projected into our lounge room and lives.  We learnt the difference between the categories of athletes and marvelled at their adapted actions.  Ambition and necessity blended with sports science and technology.  We rode the sporting and backstory rollercoaster of emotions that introduced us to our competing Australians and elated us in the behaviour of humans.  Look at what these people can do.  Look at what we can do.  Our twenty year old summed up the energy in the room one night when he declared: "This is better, this is how the Olympics should be."    Read More...

After NSW and VIC state governments dragging the chain at last week's COAG meeting we finally have some good news: Minister for Disability Services Andrew Constance today announced NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell has written to the Prime Minster to indicate the NSW Government would be willing to contribute an additional $35 million to a pilot of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Read More...
